You’re in great hands with all of our dedicated team members at Hog Roast Clitheroe, and that’s from our customer service staff who take your first phone call to our chef and catering assistants on the day of your event or party, who even clean up at the end so you don’t have to, and you’re left with no washing up to do either. Regardless of the type of special occasion that you need catering, whether it’s a formal black-tie function at a posh venue with several courses and canapés or a gathering of friends in your back garden for a barbecue, we will do you proud and that’s with delicious, local, homemade food and service that’s second to none.
For Gail’s birthday party that we recently catered, her husband Tom asked Hog Roast Clitheroe to cater an informal affair at home in their garden. Tom was apprehensive about if we could cater low numbers, but we can actually cater any number that you need, whether that’s a handful of people or several hundred. For this birthday celebration, Tom and Gail’s fifteen guests of friends and family members would be treated to our sumptuous pigs in buns, made by us roasting a locally-sourced hog from scratch in their garden for several hours before carving and serving the meat and crackling in fresh bread rolls and wraps, together with our own recipe apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing.
On the day of the party, our Hog Roast Clitheroe chef and assistant turned up at the family home early in the afternoon, as we would be serving early evening. Once the meat had been prepared, by scoring it, and adding lots of water and salt, it was soon sizzling away in our trusty hog roast machine while we watched over it.
By the time the guests had all arrived, the meat was resting while we prepared the pig in buns ingredients on our serving table. Gail, Tom and their guests all waited patiently for us to start serving, some licking their lips in anticipation, and they all clapped when our chef said it was finally time to eat.
