Adam and Laura met at school but didn’t become close friends until they found themselves at the same university some years later. From this friendship, their relationship blossomed, and 8 years later Adam proposed in their university city of Manchester. Laura was delighted to say ‘yes’ and they immediately shared the great news with their friends and family. Whilst sharing the news the couple decided it would be a great idea to host an engagement party, with alfresco catering served to their guests.
With the weather beginning to brighten, alfresco catering is a great option to chose. It combines our buffet menu with a starter served tableside, in the form of a sharing platter. This is followed by a selection of delicious desserts chosen by the couple.
On the day of the celebration, the weather was glorious, with blue skies and a shining sun. This was the perfect weather for outdoor dining and meant that the guests could enjoy the outdoor venue chosen by Adam and Laura.
Once the guests were seated, our Hog Roast Crewe waiting staff served our sharing platters. The platters consist of a variety of tastes and textures, with gourmet cheeses, crackers, vegetables and slices of cooked meats. This creates a unique course that includes something to appeal to any guest.
This course was followed by a classic Hog Roast Crewe main. We served our slow-roasted pig buffet style, accompanied by a selection of sides and salad dishes. The guests enjoyed this dish and it was a delicious contrast to the formal starter.
The dining ended with a selection of desserts served buffet style. The couple chose fresh fruit salad, sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake. These choices were popular with the guests and were the perfect ending to a great celebration.
