Think rewarding staff has to be complicated? Think again. For most teams, a genuinely good meal and a bit of downtime from work is all it takes to say thank you and keep morale high. Bellway Homes Ltd clearly agrees, because when they picked up yet another prestigious award recently, they knew exactly who to call to sort the food.
Having booked with Hog Roast Warrington before and come away thoroughly impressed each time, going with us again was an easy decision for Bellway Homes once the award was confirmed. They were straight on the phone to our team – who, for the record, were delighted to hear a familiar voice – and had a whole hog roast booked in before anyone could say congratulations.
With 50 guests to feed, Hog Roast Warrington went with a slightly smaller hog, around 30-35kg, which struck the perfect balance of keeping everyone well fed without any unnecessary excess. Bellway Homes also wanted to make sure that their veggie and vegan guests were properly looked after, and that was no trouble at all – grilled vegetable kebabs with optional halloumi and vegan BBQ-pulled jackfruit sliders meant every diet was covered without a hitch.
The hog itself turned out to be exactly the reward the team deserved, and honestly, they couldn’t get enough of those rich, smoky-sweet flavours. We’d made sure the meat was pulled soft and juicy before being served up in rolls or wraps alongside savoury sage and onion stuffing, a good dollop of homemade applesauce, and a scattering of crispy crackling for a bit of extra crunch.
Bellway Homes were thrilled to have us back and truthfully, Hog Roast Warrington was just as pleased to be there. Catching up with familiar, friendly faces is always one of the best parts of the job for us, and we’re already looking forward to their next booking. Given how things are going for them, we’ve got a funny feeling it won’t be too long before another award – and another hog roast – comes calling.
