On Saturday, Dave and his team catered for an 80th birthday party at a private function club in Greenmount.
The club doesn’t have kitchen facilities but the hog roast Greenmount team are fully equipped for outdoor mobile catering, so despite the rain and stormy weather the team were able to prepare and cook fresh canapes in the comfort of their kitchen trailer.
Waiting staff served an array of appetising canapes to the delight of 100 guests. These included : Peking duck wraps, Chicken satay, Feta skewers, Roast beef in mini Yorkshire puddings – with a home-made gravy and tiger prawns with mange-tout – lightly spiced.
The party hosts at hog roast Greenmount chose the mouth watering Southern roast option at a preparatory meeting a few weeks before the party, as the venue room was upstairs and carrying a whole hog roast upstairs would not have been possible. The lamb, beef and pork meats were roasted to perfection and slid off the bone. Accompaniments included piping hot new potatoes, freshly prepared salads and bread rolls.
The team left the Greenmount party goers happy and satisfied to make their short journey back their hog roast Greenmount headquarters.
