Ryan has worked at a beautiful country hotel for the last twenty years, joining as an assistant porter when he was just 16 years old. Since then, he has worked in many different roles, always with the end goal of becoming a manager. For the last three years he has worked as assistant manager and this summer he was finally promoted to manager after a rigorous selection process. His family all know how hard Ryan has worked to gain this position and they wanted to host a party to celebrate the occasion. The party was set to take place at Ryan’s best friend’s house, with all of his favourite people in attendance. Additionally, Hog Roast Swinton has been hired to serve our delicious slow-roast menu, which is sure to be a big success!
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Swinton team arrived at the private venue in the morning and we got to work preparing the catering. We began our prep by slow-roasting the hog to perfection and allowing it to slow-roast for around five hours. Once ready, the pork was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, the guests enjoyed homemade chips, corn cobettes, gourmet coleslaw, and a green leaf salad, which created a delicious and varied buffet lunch. The party was a lot of fun and it was great to see Ryan being celebrated for all of his hard work over the years!
