Wedding season is in full swing for 2024, which means Hog Roast Ribble Valley is catering for all kinds of events across the area. No two weddings are ever the same, which is why we customise all of our menus to suit your event. This means that you will always have the perfect meal for your guest list and the right serving style for your formality. Here is just one menu you could enjoy this spring!
This spring, Faye and her fiancé are getting married at a beautiful venue alongside the canal. The couple planned to enjoy as much of their wedding day outdoors as possible, which is why they chose a venue with beautifully manicured gardens, a view of the canal, a boat trip for guests to enjoy, and a great central courtyard. The courtyard was ideal since Hog Roast Ribble Valley had been hired to cater for the occasion, and this would be the ideal location for us to prepare and serve the meal. For the menu, it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal, with a few additional dishes to ensure that there is plenty for everyone to enjoy.
On the day of the wedding, the Hog Roast Ribble Valley team arrived at the venue in the morning and set up our catering station in the courtyard. We began our prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to roast for around five hours. Additionally, we cooked succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the side dishes, the guests enjoyed homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a fresh green leaf salad. Overall, our menu had plenty of dishes on offer for the guests to enjoy, allowing everyone to choose a delicious buffet meal from what we had to offer.
