Summer has kicked off with a bang for Hog Roast Langho! With the sun shining and excitement in the air, we’ve been hopping from one fantastic event to the next. And since we know how much you love hearing about our culinary escapades, we’re here today to share the highlights from the incredible country music festival we catered this past Saturday!
Let me tell you, this festival wasn’t just any gathering—it was a toe-tapping, boot-stomping celebration organised to raise money for some truly amazing causes. The event planners outdid themselves, transforming a charming converted barn into the perfect country music venue, complete with cosy hay bale seating.
Almost 1,000 guests turned out, decked out in their best cowboy hats and boots, ready to dance and sing along to tribute acts performing hits from country legends like Dolly Parton, Luke Combs, Kenny Rogers, John Denver, and even Taylor Swift! The barn buzzed with energy as folks two-stepped and swayed through three solid hours of live music.
Not only was the music lineup epic but there was a mechanical bull as well! Guests lined up to test their rodeo skills, adding an extra dash of excitement and laughter to the day. And, of course, Hog Roast Langho was there to satisfy everyone’s hunger with our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which turned out to be the talk of the event!
Our Deep South-inspired spread was a hit, with guests raving about the delectable flavours of our Cajun-spiced whole-roasted chicken, tender Texan-style beef brisket, and succulent Louisiana sticky pork ribs. The bravest attendees dared to drench their dishes in our super spicy Cajun hot pepper sauce, adding an extra kick to their meals, while those seeking a meat-free delight couldn’t get enough of our BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls.
No Southern feast is complete without sides, and Hog Roast Langho delivered big time. Our Memphis-inspired coleslaw added a fresh crunch, the cheesy mac and cheese was pure comfort food bliss, and the mix of sweet potato and traditional fries had everyone coming back for seconds (and thirds!).
The guests had an absolute blast, and so did we! The music, the setting, and the food all came together to create an unforgettable event.
